Austin to Vail, Arizona
Texas is BIG! We only drove across about
half of it and it took all day.
We left at 3AM and made it to Greg and Andrea Barnes' house in Vail, Arizona by
6PM.
Some scenery shots a bit blurry or smudged since we were shooting through the
windows.

Visit with Greg & Andrea Barnes in Arizona
Vail is about 20 minutes away from
Tucson. We know Greg & Andrea from our days together in Singapore.
After 900 miles on the road the peace and quiet of where they live was welcome.
It's hot in Arizona but their mornings and nights are beautiful.
About the only other place you'll see more stars is at sea.

Pima Air and Space Museum
The next morning before departing for
San Diego we hit the Pima Air and Space Museum.
The Tucson area is a big Air Force area and was once ringed by Titan II ICBM
silos.
There is also a huge Aerospace Maintenance & Regeneration Center (where Greg
works).
The Pima museum is the 3rd largest Air & Space museum in the world.
Highlights included the SR-71 Blackbird, President's Kennedy & Johnson's Air
Force One and the WWII hangar.
