Natural Bridge Caverns

Very cool attraction and just minutes away from Schlitterbahn Water Park. You could hit Schlitterbahn one day, stay overnight in New Braunfels and then do the Caverns and nearby Wild Animal Park the next day.  The caverns offer multiple tours, everything from a fairly casual stroll to a hands and knees tour with rope lines, head lamps and such. You can spend half a day here if you took in a couple of the tours, rock climbing and zip slide and enjoyed a picnic on their grounds. You're in the Texas hill country and the surrounding scenery is nice.  We were lucky that with the heavy rains of spring/summer 2007 we saw some of the water table make its way into some of the cavern rooms, made for some neat viewing and would have made for a better swim. The pictures with out little toy camera flashes don't do the caverns justice. You'd need some serious flash to light up some of the rooms. The final room called the cathedral is about a 200 foot ceiling.
